Beer City Hoops Newest Franchise to begin play in 2024
[Grand Rapids, MI December 25, 2023] BeerCityHoops would like to announce the addition of the 12th franchise in league history, the Bridge Street Fire.
Current members of the Hawks and Hearts, Big Baby & Gr3g, respectively, and new recruits Vande & Komar, have been selected to build this team from the ground, like a Phoenix rising from the burning ashes of the past.
Since Year 1 of the BeerCityHoops league, Big Baby and Gr3g have played in a combined 53 games (26 & 27) on the books and multiple times each as a Lake Drive Substitute. This will mark the first time in the 4-year history they will play on the same team. (“It’s about time!”)
Incoming rookies Vande & Komar were each recruited by their new running mates. Vande is the newest member of the Lifetime Club. Komar has been spotted multiple times near Monroe and the Sixth Street bridge.
The Fire will take the 6th team slot over during the final 7 weeks of the 2023-24 regular season and playoffs, replacing the Hawks.
Their first game is January 9, 2024 versus City of Bridges at 7:45pm.
